Our team provided civil engineering services for the redeveloped Anschutz Medical Campus, formerly the Fitzsimons campus.
As the largest academic health center in the Rocky Mountain Region and a leading medical and biotech center in the U.S., the campus spans 217 acres and is owned by the University of Colorado.
Our work began with facilities and infrastructure master planning for the relocation of the CU Health Sciences Center, including the allocation of campus quadrants based on functional adjacencies, connectivity, and campus aesthetics. Our civil engineering efforts addressed pedestrian, vehicular, and mass transit circulation along with parking, landscaping, a central power plant with steam and condensate networks, electrical and communications systems, water supply, sanitary sewer collection, stormwater drainage, and water quality.
By collaborating closely with planners, the S. A. Miro, Inc. team minimized conflicts and capital investment by creating demand forecasts that guided the sequencing of infrastructure development across the campus.
