The facility consolidates numerous healthcare services under one roof, including a day surgery center, a new location for the adult urgent care center, and expanded pharmacy, lab, and radiology services.
The building also enhances Denver Health’s ability to provide treatment for heart disease, cancer, diabetes, orthopedics, behavioral health, dental and oral health, as well as expanded services for eye exams and physical therapy.
The project was the first in Colorado to utilize the SidePlate® fully bolted moment frame structural system. This approach eliminated the need for concrete cores, shear walls above grade, and braced frames, accelerating steel erection and avoiding temperature and weather constraints associated with field welding.
Completed in 2021, the project was delivered under an IPD-lite contract, with the design team, general contractor, and key trade partners collaborating from the start of schematic design.
