S. A. Miro, Inc. provided structural engineering services for the Araceli DTC Apartments, located in the Denver Tech Center at the southeast corner of I‑25 and I‑225.
This 13-story, 248,000 SF multifamily structure features 10 residential floors with 236 studio to three-bedroom units atop a three-level, 301-space concrete garage podium.
The project boasted several unique design elements, such as two clerestories, as well as a lower roof terrace on the ninth floor. A variety of structural systems and materials were utilized, including mild and post-tensioned concrete, pre-engineered metal building components, and aluminum elements for balconies and trellises, to accommodate the building’s non-rectangular plan and 30-foot-high lobby.
These design solutions ensured both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity for this signature multifamily development.
