Our multifamily experience is grounded in a practical, cost-conscious approach that balances design intent and market realities.
As housing affordability and budget pressures continue to shape development, we focus on delivering civil and structural engineering solutions that support efficient construction without compromising long-term performance or livability. S. A. Miro, Inc. provides integrated design support for multifamily projects where coordination across disciplines is essential.
Civil engineering design on multifamily developments requires close collaboration with architects, MEP consultants, and landscape architects. We support site planning and infrastructure design including vehicular access, accessible pedestrian routes, parking layouts, grading, drainage, water quality and detention systems, and utility services such as domestic water, sanitary sewer, fire protection, and stormwater roof drain connections.
Multifamily projects vary widely, from townhomes and condominiums with individual unit access and varying finished floor elevations driven by site constraints, to large apartment buildings with underground parking, to senior living facilities with a stronger emphasis on accessibility and community amenities. Each type brings distinct design and construction challenges that must be addressed early.
We have delivered multifamily projects across the Front Range on complex sites, including steep slopes, limited or developing infrastructure, and locations near transit corridors such as bus stops, light rail, and transit centers. These conditions require close coordination with design teams, owners, contractors, and approving agencies including cities, counties, and utility districts. Our technical expertise and collaborative approach help navigate these constraints and keep projects moving through design and construction.
Early collaboration is central to our process. Engaging the full team early helps identify constraints, improve constructability, and support decisions that balance budget, design intent, and long-term performance.
